CALLING ALL LEFTOVERS!

Since many of us have leftovers and we did not have the cookout tonight should we have the cookout on Monday? I checked the forecast just now and there is a 30% chance for rain with the temperature at 63.

My vote is for a cookout so that we can share all our leftovers. We also have 13 boxes of books to share that were given to us by a pastor to share with this community. They are free for the taking. The pastor graduated from UDTS in the recent past so there are some that current students may want.

Let me know if we should light the grills around 5 p.m.
*!!!Congratulations Graduates!!!*
We had a wonderful time at Senior Banquet! I loved seeing everyone of you with your families, receiving your awards, and/or sharing such sweet words from your sweet hearts! I will sure miss laughing with you, debating with you, and just enjoying your wonderful company! I pray much blessing upon you as you embark upon the beginning of this great new adventure! Jon and I will unfortunately not be able to attend your graduation ceremony nor the picnic, so please consider this our formal goodbyes-for-now. We'll be praying for you as we hear of your joys and concerns. God Bless You!!!!

The Door Will Be Open!

Hey Everyone. I just checked the weather for Saturday and it looks like more of the same. I had hoped that we could all catch up at the cookout Saturday evening but I do not think that is going to happen.

Anyway, please accept this as an invitation to the open house that Matt and my mom are hosting here at our place. We will open the door as soon as we get back from the ceremony. Come for food, fun and conversation. Or just come to have a turn holding the baby! Bring your friends and family with you.

Oh my! Colyer Final

Who'd a thunk that the last exam in the UM series would be such a stinker. You'd think after 4 semesters of Colyer we'd know the question...I sure thought I had it all figured out.

I don't know if I have seen anything sadder - or funnier than today as we went up to get our 'choice of exams'...it was pit-e-full!

He got us - and thats all I have to say about that...

Senioritis...

Technically when can senioritis begin? Does one actually have to hold the title of senior? If that is the case then what do I have?

I pose this question because at moment I have only a few more things to do. I know if I focused and got with it I could get everything finished; that is except the doctrine paper. It seems though that I want to do anything except study. For instance I am here writing this BLOG when I should be studying. This is not even a study break it is a break from checking my email which is a break from surfing the web which I started doing while looking at what my friend said on MySpace...go figure...I would write more but I just saw something shiny...

Honey, I'm home!

Greetings all...thanks Scott for setting this up! And thnx for calling me "Christ English" but, while close, I still have at least a little more sanctification to go!!!

Just a note on blog life: My experience with these kind of group blogs/newsgroups is that there is an initial flurry of posts...the amount gets overwhelming to keep up with...so some drop away...but after the novelty wears off, then the posts slow down, and become even more meaningful (not that all your post so far have not been down right profound!)

...all that to say, I hope many will join, and all who join will hang with us so that 6 months, a year, 2 years, etc. we remain connected in (and I have to use my favorite word I'm leaving seminary with)...in perichoretic community!

Hey, even the old guy figured out how to do it. Sometimes I scare myself!

How is everyone? Thanks to all who made this possible.

This is way cool!

Guess who just found out how to do pictures????

Posting Pictures

Make sure everyone posts a picture of themselves... If you don't have one on the computer - maybe someone you know (ME!!) has a digital picture of you... :) Have fun!

RSS Feeds

For all of you who are slightly bent towards technology, RSS feeds are a wonderful thing for blogs. My fellow Mac users, you have an RSS reader built into your Safari web browser, others, I recommend Firefox ... great security and it has an RSS reader as well. All of you with nothing better to do, check out RSS for Dummies.

Open Invitation

Hey everybody...if you know of anybody who wants to join (classmates, professors, etc.) let me know and I will send them an invite (if you are a member, you might be able to do it yourself).

How Many Seniors?

I wonder how many seniors it takes it takes to make this work? Considering that we have been mailing it in for months now, I am impressed that it only took two seniors and a few minutes. Check out the links they are awesome. Whew! This is more work than I normally do!

Training Wheels

Greetings to everybody who found their way here. As you can probably tell, I'm new at this...and hey, my brain's french toast right now anyway.

That said...I thought this would be a good way to bounce ideas off of each other and perhaps keep in touch beyond seminary (or, for some of us, while we are still in seminary with the people who have traveled to new places).

I tried to find a way to open up posting to everybody, but as the creator/moderator of the blog, I'm afraid that I can do nothing but provide the "comments" section for you all to respond on. If you know of a way to "open up" posting, please let me know. To write something back (and please do, to let me know that you found your way here), just click on "comments" below.

If you know of a better way to do this, please let me know and/or step forward. I'm doing what I can here...but hey, the in-laws fly in tomorrow and have the motivation of a tree sloth right now. Cut me some slack.

I will end this post with a quote from Les Longden yesterday: "I read your last paper....it reads like your last paper." My reply? "I passed, right?"

That is all for now.
